APOLLINARIS IN THE NEW MILLENNIUM
Apollinaris has a new face, new packaging and new flavours, but the first-class enjoyment remains the same.
In 2002, the returnable BLUE System is introduced, an innovative marketing and packaging system that makes transport more efficient and thereby helps to protect the environment. Consumers appreciate the easier method of handling and carrying the products.
In 2004, Apollinaris again showed its innovative side by being the first mineral water in Germany to introduce its Silence still mineral water in a Tetra Pak – called the Queen's Pack.
In 2006, Apollinaris comes up with low-calorie Active+ with vitamins.
Since 2006, Apollinaris has belonged to another world-renowned company with a long tradition: The Coca-Cola Company.
With the popular Queen campaign in 2006, Apollinaris takes the long tradition of THE QUEEN OF TABLE WATERS as its theme and sets another royal standard in advertising. You can find the popular TV commercial and the best advertising visuals here.
To the Queen campaign
In 2007 Apollinaris expands its product range with a new still mineral water under the brand name ViO.
ViO is obtained from the officially recognised Lüner Quelle in Lower Saxony's Lüneburg (near Hamburg) and is bottled there under the charge of the experts at Apollinaris. The new product is a perfect complement to the mineral waters of the Apollinaris brand.
ViO was launched in May 2007, targeting the on-the-go segment with the smaller 0.5 liter bottle. Since summer 2008, the premium water has also been available in the food retail market. The portfolio was therefore complemented by the 1.5 liter non returnable bottle and the 0.75 liter bottle with a sport cap. As a still water that is especially low in mineral nutrients, it’s an ideal source of fluids – with absolutely no calories and with its original purity. With a mineral content of 259 mg/l, ViO has a low level of mineralisation. This gives ViO an especially smooth taste that appeals to every palate.
