HISTORY OF THE BRAND

THE PLEASURE OF DRINKING WATER – YESTERDAY AS TODAY

FROM THE RED TRIANGLE TO A WORLDWIDE BRAND

Germany’s „Act to Protect Product Designations“ was put in place on October 1, 1894. On the very same day, the Apollinaris corporations applied for trademark protection of the Apollinaris logotype, the red triangle along with the slogan, THE QUEEN OF TABLE WATERS.

The Apollinaris logo and the red triangle – familiar symbols of quality and success – became a worldwide trademark.

In 1897, a very special honour was bestowed upon the Apollinaris Company Ltd.: Queen Victoria and her son Edward, Prince of Wales, designated Apollinaris a purveyor to the British Royal Family.
